Rent A Vintage RV
Featuring 1973-1978 GMC Motorhomes
Travel Back in Time
From 1973-1978 GMC made their own motorhome. Instead of just making a chassis, that was then sold to a coach company to complete the interior, most of the GMC motorhomes were made entirely by GMC. Designed by aircraft engineers, GMC wanted it to be the best motorhome the world had ever seen. These iconic RVs still grab attention everywhere they go. (And, closing the over-head cabinets sounds just like when you close the over-head bins in an airplane!)
Sporting front-wheel drive, and an airbag suspension, driving them is as easy as driving your SUV, but the comfort of the ride is like nothing you've ever driven. When you arrive at your campsite, the airbag suspension makes leveling a cinch.
Even if you've never seen one in person, you may recognize the GMC's unique styling as the "EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle" in the 1981 comedy Stripes.
